Cross Docks Australia is a specialised, agile and responsive 3PL with a sole focus on protecting, managing and moving your brand’s most valuable asset – your stock.
Founded in 2004 by Shan Manickam as a small start-up, Cross Docks today has over 45 local and international clients and along the way has achieved an enviable reputation with a proven track record.
Every product, every box, every brand in our warehouse is treated as if it were our own. In the last 12 months we have helped our clients move more than $350 million worth of retail goods into their stores or straight to their customers.
With close to 100 employees including senior managers, many of whom have been here from the inception, the Cross Docks team runs like a well-oiled machine. The lessons we have learnt in building a business from scratch, underpin our values and drive our exceptional customer service levels.
Our goal is the same as yours – getting the right product to the right place at the right time, and we exist to take the stress and operational hassles away from brands who have much better things to do with their time.

Our Warehouse Management System is at the core of our business. We have continued to invest and improve the functionality of the system to better benefit our customers. Real time data and reports that are easy to understand give our customers the power to make informed business decisions to maximise productivity.
Attitude
Attitude – is everything ! Our team of close to 100 staff are trained and focused to reach the same goals as our customers. Getting the right product, to the right place at the right time. Every product and every brand in our warehouse – we treat as it it’s our own. We love what we do.
Accuracy
Our WMS capabilities include a perpetual 24/7 counting process called automated cycle counting. It’s like doing a stock-take 15 days a day on each product, removing the risk of errors and increasing accuracy.
We are a progressive warehouse management business with multiple sites in Melbourne’s west, close to ports and transport hubs, as well as a growing facility in Brisbane. We are a trusted partner to leading national brands and small boutique businesses nationally and internationally.

In 2004, Shan founded Cross Docks Australia after many years experience in the freight and logistics industry. This year we celebrate 20 years of success in business! In two decades Cross Docks has transformed from a small start-up with just one employee and two investors, to a thriving business that, in the last year, has helped our clients move more than $350 million worth of retail goods. This sustainable growth underpins the incredible value we have created for our clients.
Michael brings his management skills to Cross Docks having worked for major FMCG brands at Toll Logistics, where he managed deliveries to multi-nationals including Coles supermarkets. Approaching a decade of service Michael brings his amazing energy to Cross Docks and continues to be known and respected for his positive attitude.
Bikram joined Cross Docks Australia 16 years ago just as the business was hitting it’s stride and has been a pivotal employee. Bikram is one of our most dedicated and long serving employees and our longest serving manager. Today, he continues to play an instrumental advisory role to customers and a leadership role to his team.
