Cross Docks Australia (CDA) is proud to have been voted as one of Australia’s Best Places to Work 2024. In the category of medium sized firms (50-249 employees), CDA ranked in the top 10 amongst contemporaries of similar size including Fujifilm, Hallmarc and Pizza Hut Australia.
According to journalist Padma Iyar, “The workplaces in the list can feel justifiably proud of being the Best Places to Work. They are winners of the best kind of accolade possible. They have developed strategies that have demonstrated that employees’ happiness is the best answer to increasing their innovative ability and productivity.”
Cross Docks has worked hard to implement strategies that enable employees to achieve growth in their workplace and to provide a safe and inclusive environment that ensures everybody who works here is valued and treated respectfully. The staff appraisal system is evidence that this strategy is working.
The best places to work survey asks employees to rank their employer on six key drivers of workplace engagement including Reward and Recognition, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, Instilling Pride and Job Satisfaction. Our success in these key pillars is evidence that we are continuing to provide our employees with an environment that encourages responsibility and initiative, and offers incentives and recognition for success in their role.
Managing Director, Shan Manickam stated that he was really proud to be counted amongst the best places to work in 2024. “This year the company celebrated our 20 year anniversary, having started the business in 2004 with one employee and the ambition to make a business that was service oriented, but that treated future employees as co-contributors. We have always focussed on getting the best people, training them properly and ensuring they can accelerate their own professional development.
This achievement is a powerful indication that Cross Docks Australia’s continuous investment in it’s workplace practices, has flowed to create a high-trust environment where employees can flourish. Accolades such as these create stronger employee motivation and retention, which benefits our customers by ensuring that they receive excellent service provision.
Far from resting on its laurels, Cross Docks Australia is already working to implement a customer feedback system to measure Net Promoter Score (NPS) to ensure we continue to serve our customers, by investing in our employees.
